Romanian Super League 2014, which was held in Calimanesti-Caciulata/Romania from 8-16 November, 2014 ended with a double crown for chess club Stud. Medicina Timisoara, which triumphed in both Men and Women competitions.

Couple of days before National Superliga in Women’s section finished. Two teams tied for the first place with the same score (12 MP) – CS Stud. Medicina Timisoara and CSM Bucuresti, but thanks to the victory in the direct encounter gold went to Timisoara. Bronze went to CS Politehnica-Antibiotice Iasi which was the leader until the last round.

Both competitions were played as a Round Robin tournaments, Men’s section in 9 rounds and Women’s in 7 rounds. The rate of play was 90 minutes for 40 moves, flowed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game + 30 seconds increment per move, starting from move one.
The organizers of the championship were Romanian Chess Federation and CS Tinerii Maestrii Bucuresti.
