PORTUGAL OPEN 2020

Three rounds have been already played at Portugal Open 2020, which takes place from 25th January-1st February in Lisbon, Portugal.

The event gathered 216 players, coming from 33 federations, and after 3 played rounds, 13 players emerged on the top with the perfect score 3/3.

Some of the top seeds, such as Motylev Alexander (RUS, 2640), Tari Aryan (NOR, 2635), Grigoryan Karen (ARM, 2632) and Ghamarian Tigran (FRA, 2603) suffered upsets in the first three rounds, and follow the leaders with score of 2.5 points, each.

The event is played in 9 rounds, Swiss system, with time control 90 minutes plus 30 seconds per move from the first move. The total prize fund of the event crosses 11.000 EUR, with 2.500 EUR reserved for the Winner of the event.
