European Youth Team Chess Championship starts tomorrow in Rymanow Zdroj, Poland.
39 teams coming from 17 European federation will participate the event, 18 teams in Girls section and 21 in the Open section.
All of them will play according to the Swiss system in 7 rounds with time control 90 min for 40 moves + 30 min for the rest of the game + 30 sec increment for every move played starting from the first move.
The first three teams in Open and Girl’s section as well will receive trophies. Each member of the winning team (players, reserves and captain) will receive a gold medal. The members of the second and third placed teams will each receive a silver and bronze medal respectively. Additionally, all medalists receive in-kind prizes. For the best placed teams and for the individual results for the best board result, the organizer will provide medals, trophies and in-kind prizes to the value of 5.000 Euros.
The Organizers provided live transmission of the top seeded games and live commentary which can be followed through the official website of the event. Beside the chess activities, organizers will provide special evenings for all participants, such as disco with professional DJ, bonfire with roasting sausages & music, guided tour of Rymanow Zdroj and sports activities.
The official venue of the Championship is PST “Stomil” Rymanow Zdroj.
