The European Youth Chess Championship 2022 will be played in 6 age categories: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, and U18, open and girls sections separately, and opens on Sunday in Antalya, Turkey. The event will be played from 6th to 15th November in 9 rounds, swiss system.
More than 1000 players coming from 46 European federations will compete for the title of European Youth Chess Champions of their respective categories. The events will be played with time control of 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds per move, starting from move one.

The best three ranked players in each group will be awarded medals. The Winners of respective groups will become the European U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 open and girls Champions. The best ranked six players of each group will be awarded medals and diplomas.
The official venue of the event will be *****Pine Beach Hotel Convention Center, which as also the official hotel of the Championship altogether with *****Papillon Ayscha Hotel.
The ECU President, Mr. Zurab Azmaiparashvili, addressed the participants and the organizers of the event in a welcoming letter published in the info bulletin of the Championship.
