Armenian Chess Federation will hold the 10th Annual Karen Asrian Memorial from 20th until 30th June, in the prominent SPA resort of Jermuk, Armenia.
Playing venue of the tournament is Hotel Hyatt Place Jermuk. The distance between the hotel and the playing venue is 200 meters.
The total prize fund of the tournament will be 22.500 $, including main prizes, women prizes and special prizes for the best participants U14 and U16, under 2101 and under 2201 rating, as well as for the best senior player.
Men players above 2601 ELO points, and women players above 2401 will be provided with the special conditions.
The event will be played according to the Swiss System in 9 rounds, with time control 90 minutes for the first 40 moves + 30 minutes for the remainder of the game with 30 seconds increment starting from the first move.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 20th June at 6.00 pm, while the first round will start on 21st June 2017 at 3.00 pm (local time).
The organizers advise to register for participation by May 1st, 2017.
