The historical chess event, Tournament of Peace 2021, takes place from 5th-10th October 2021, in Zagreb, Croatia.
The tournament is played in the National and University Library, with participation of 10 Grandmasters playing a round-robin event in 9 rounds.
The participants are: Ernesto Inarkiev (RUS, 2668), Etienne Bacrot (FRA, 2658), Igor Kovalenko (LAT, 2647), Sergei Movsesian (ARM, 2627), Ante Brkic (CRO, 2621), Zdenko Kozul (CRO, 2601), Marin Bosiocic (CRO, 2573), Hrvoje Stevic (CRO, 2570), Robert Zelcic (CRO, 2522), Mladen Palac (CRO, 2517).
The opening ceremony of the event took place today with attendance of the ECU President, Mr.Zurab Azmaiparashvili who addressed all the players and the organizers of the event.

Time control will be: 90 minutes for 40 moves + 30 minutes for the rest of the game + 30 seconds increment for every move starting from the first one.
The event is organized by Croatian Chess Federation, and supported by European Chess Union and FIDE Development Fund.
