Journalists Directory

In the context of better communication between the whole European chess community and the ECU in particular, we have decided to focus in the next period on constant information of journalists who edit chess columns or report on chess via television, radio or the internet.

This recording must be done in order to inform the chess friends on issues that are important for its dissemination.

We ask journalists to fill the online form or/and national chess federations to collect applications from journalists who regularly (at least once a week) have either chess columns in newspapers (national or local), or on internet sites, or chess shows on television or radio channels.

The “accredited” chess journalist e-cards will be issued by the ECU after all details and authenticity of the application be confirmed if needed and by the assistance of the national Chess federation.

The ECU will take initiatives to promote and enhance the role of chess journalists through online or live conferences, universal voting for the best chess players of the year in Europe by all chess journalists, votes for the best chess columns, reports, analyzes, photos, shows, etc. Coordinator of the first stage of the program will be the Greek Journalist Mr. Christos Pilalis (christos.pilalis@gmail.com ) with a committee to be appointed at the next steps.
