The International Open German Championship for Women will be held from 27th April – 1st May in Best Western Plus Plaza Hotel Darmstadt. The event is open to all interested players, regardless of their title or rating.
The International Open German Championship for Women will be played in 7 rounds, Swiss system, with time control: 90 min for 40 moves + 15 min for the rest of the game + 30 seconds of increment starting with move 1.
The prize fund of the event features prizes for the best ranked five players, with 500 EUR reserved for the Winner, as well as the special prizes for the best player rated under 2000 and for the best player rated under 1700.

In addition to the seven-round Open tournament, there is another highlight: at the same place and time, the Women’s German Masters will take place, where the 10 best German female players will meet in a round-robin tournament.
