The 24th European Youth Rapid and Blitz Chess Championship are set to commence in Thessaloniki, Greece, taking place from 4-8 August at the *****Porto Palace Hotel.
The event gathers more than 450 players coming from 36 European federations who will compete over six age categories: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18, open and girls sections separately.
The first event on the schedule will be the European Youth Rapid Chess Championship 2025 which will be played from 5-6 August, in 9 rounds swiss system, with the time control of 15 minutes + 10 seconds increment.
European Youth Blitz Chess Championship 2025 will be played on 7th of August, in 9 double rounds swiss system, with the time control of 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment.
The Chess Solving Competition will take place on Wednesday, 6th of August.

The top board games will be broadcasted live, and the organisers provided the live video broadcast from the playing venue. The broadcasts will be available through the ECU TV platform.
