European Corporate Chess Championship 2025 stars in Paris

The European Corporate Chess Championship 2025, organised by Asnière Le Grand Echiquier under the auspices of the European Chess Union, will be held on 7-8 November in Asnieres sur Seine, Paris, France.

The event gathers 54 corporate teams, including Google, PWC, KPMG, UBS, Bank of France, Dassault, Societe Générale, Leonard, EBRD, Greco and others. The top seeded teams are Greco (Ukraine), Global Ramblers (Czech Republic), Agrofert (Bulgaria), Redia A/S (Austria), and TePe Sigeman (Sweden).

The teams are represented by strong players, including 18 Grandmasters, 23 International masters, 2 Woman Gradnmasters, and the best-rated players in the event are: GM Erwin L’Ami (TePe Sigeman), GM Veselin Topalov (Agrofert), GM Jules Moussard (SWISSto12), GM Igor Kovalenko (Greco), GM Laurent Fressinet (MVCMI#1), IM Augustin Droin (Enedis), GM Frode Olav Olsen Urkedal (KPMG Europe), GM Namig Guliyev (Les Pyramides de Port-Marly #1), GM Dharshan Kumaran (Google DeepMind), IM Loic Travadon (MVCMI #2), GM Dimitrios Mastrovasilis (PROBIT Sp), IM Dimitris Alexakis (PwC Greece), GM Marc’Andria Maurizzi (DOLE), GM Gleb Dudin (Global Ramblers), GM Mads Andersen (Redia A/S) and others.

The event is played in 9 rounds, swiss system, with time control of 15 minutes for the whole game, plus 5 seconds of an increment starting from move one. The system of match points is as follows: a match won is worth 3 match points, a draw 2 match points, a match lost on the chessboard 1 match point, and a forfeit loss 0 match points.

The tournament playing venue will be: Espace Francis Delage – 27 rue de la Concorde – 92600 Asnières-sur-Seine.

The guaranteed minimum prize fund of the event is 7.000 EUR, with special trophies for the following sectors of activity (with a minimum of 3 teams per sector): Banking &Insurance, Energy, Digital, Consulting, Industry, Sport &Tourism and Special.

Live games with video broadcast and commentaries by GM Alexandra Kosteniuk and GM Pavel Tregubov can be followed through the ECU TV.

The tournament features a special side event Chess and Strategy Conference, which will take place on Friday, 7th of November, in the morning hours. The theme of the conference is “Chess as a lever for performance and cohesion”, bringing together executives, champions and experts. The Conference will be held at the Asnières-sur-Seine Town Hall, and live broadcast of the Conference can be followed through ECU TV.
