Only one round left to be played at the European Youth Chess Championship 2025 in Budva, Montenegro, and we’ll soon crown the new Champions!
Heading into the last round, many sections still have the unclear situation on the top, while the others have the sole leaders.
Myron Netrebka (UKR) scores perfect 8/8 points and clinched gold in the Open U8 section with a round to spare! In Girls U8 category, Stella Zhu (FIN) emerged as the sole leader with 7.5 points, and she is a full point ahead of the runner-up, needing only a draw in the last round for sole first place.

CM Luca Protopopescu (FRA) is the sole leader of Open U10 tournament with 7.5 points, while two girls tie for the top of Girls U10 section with 7 points each: Bianka Macakova (SVK) and Daria Kravchuk (UKR).

In Open U12 tournament, Ali Aras Yildiz (TUR) and Eren Elci (TUR) share the lead scoring 7 points each, while Tea Rusitashvili (GEO) has the sole lead in Girls U12 category with the same score of 7 points.

The top-seeded IM Ahmad Khagan (AZE) leads in Open U14 section with 7 points, while WFM Vera Vujovic (SRB) and WFM Blanka Ejsymont (POL) tie for first in Girls U14 category scoring 7 points each.

FM Mykola Korchynskyi (GER) scores 7 points in Open U16 championship for the sole lead, and Lucia Stoll (FRA) has the same score with the sole lead in Girls U16 category.

FM Vladimir-Alexandru Cnejev (ROU) and IM Laurenz Borrmann (AUT) tie for first in Open U18 tournament with 6.5 points each, while WFM Maria Siekanska (POL) emerged as the sole leader of the Girls U18 section with 7 points.
