Chess Ambassadors for the Environment

European Chess Union and Judit Polgar’s Global Chess Festival invite one player U12 from each European Chess federation to take part in the special chess and social event “Chess Ambassadors for the environment”. 

The event will take place on Saturday 9th of October with the following program.

11:30  CEST  Lecture & Q&A session for the Environment & the Climate Change  

           Eleni Svoronou, Head of environmental education of WWF Greece

12:15 CEST   Break. 

13:00 CEST   Judit’s Polgar Masterclass / Chessable Classroom

14:00 CEST   Blitz Tournament 5min + 5 sec. – 7 rounds/ Chessable Platform 

In all events will take part actively one player by Federation but the events will be in a live stream so everybody will have access to the Lecture (English) and the Masterclass. 

Certificates and Prizes

All participants will receive a special certificate of “Chess Ambassadors of the Environment” 

The first 3 winners of the Blitz Competition will take the following gifts from the WWF program and the Judit PolgarChess Foundation.

1st Prize:  Adoption of a Polar Bear, + Chessable course of Master Your Chess with Judit Polgar 

2nd Prize:  Adoption of a Pinguin, + Chessable course of Master Your Chess with Judit Polgar 

3rd Prize:  Adoption of a Dolphin, + Chessable course of Master Your Chess with Judit Polgar 

Registration

Each National Chess Federation has the right to register one player U12 (boy or girl) to the following online form till Friday 1st October:

After the end of registration, the players will receive by email the necessary information and links to join the events. All registered players are kindly requested to have the day of the festival their country mini flag or behind them a banner with their flag.
