Strategic Targets for 2026
1. Strengthen Chess in Education
Expand academic programs for teachers and tutors, building on successful distance learning initiatives as the program with Aegean University.
Increase the reach and impact of chess in primary education across more European countries.
License and support more trainers and arbiters to raise professional standards through the ECU Training Hub.
2. Enhance Event Quality and Participation
Organize over 20 prestigious championships and tournaments annually, ensuring high standards and inclusivity.
Launch new top chess events and other innovative formats to attract broader audiences and sponsors.
3. Digital Transformation
Upgrade ECU’s digital platforms for training, event management, and member engagement. New webinars for more specialisation.
Expand live streaming and digital content, including the ECU Streaming TV project, to connect with global chess fans.
Implement advanced technologies for tournament operations and data management.
4. Grow Community and Partnerships
Strengthen relationships with member federations through initiatives .
Attract new sponsors and partners to ensure financial sustainability and growth.
Promote diversity and inclusion within the chess community.
5. Financial and Organizational Excellence
Achieve sustainable financial growth through diversified revenue streams, including events, sponsorships, and educational services.
