Three rounds have been played at the European Youth Team Chess Championship 2025 in Terme Catez, Slovenia and only four rounds left before the announcement of the Winners!
After three played rounds, Girls sections got the emerged sole leaders, while the Open sections have tied teams on the top.
In the Open U18 category, as many as four teams score 5 match points each to tie for the top: Austria, Hungary, Poland and Germany. Four teams closely follow scoring 4 match points each: Ukraine, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Turkey.
In the Open U12 section, two teams score maximum 6 match points: Serbia and Romania. Five teams follow scoring 4 match points each: Poland, Turkey, Hungary, Ukraine and Slovenia A. The leaders will face each-other in the direct Round 4 encounter.
Ukraine emerged as the sole leader of the Girls U18 category as the only team with the perfect score of 6 match points. Israel follows with 5 match points, while Czech Republic A, Romania, Slovenia A and Poland score 4 match points to tie for third place.
Team of Poland is in the sole lead in the Girls U12 section scoring maximum 6 match points. Germany A trails by one match point, and Ukraine and Serbia score 4 match points each to be in a close the race for the top.
