ECU Board statement on FIDE Congress

“While fully supporting all necessary efforts to resolve the visa issues as quickly as possible and to ensure the participation of all eligible delegates, the European Chess Union does not support the postponement of the FIDE Congress and believes that such a step could have serious consequences for the observation of FIDE Charter and FIDE credibility.”
